Inequality is strongly influenced by policies and business practices that shape the nature of work.

"...Inequality is not inevitable. It is strongly influenced by policies and business practices that shape the nature of work, the strength of social protection, and the allocation of investment capital. And when policies and practices do not create level playing fields or are unevenly enforced, economies end up excluding people and discouraging innovation."

In June 2015, the Ford Foundation announced that it will focus 100 percent of its funding and influence to address Inequality in all of its forms: economic, racial, gender, and otherwise.

We believe in the inherent dignity of all people. Yet around the world, billions of people are excluded from full participation in the political, economic, and cultural systems that shape their lives.

We view this fundamental inequality as the defining challenge of our time, one that limits the potential of all people, everywhere. Addressing inequality is at the center of everything we do.

A year later, this substantive shift in the Foundation's grantmaking & impact philosophy is accelerating global awareness and commitment to delivering the longterm fixes necessary to break cycles of systemic biases and injustice.

“A conversation about inequality in all its forms.” is an aggregation of ideas, insights, commitment, and actions taken by Ford and other agents of change & empowerment around the world.  @veracloudtech is committed to democratizing access to economic opportunity for all and leveling the playing field of economic inequality.
